Wild About Nature Camp
from North Shore Nature Programs
Camp Description:
A typical day at Wild About Nature will be spent exploring the pond, forests, and streams that make up Camp Denison. Morning sessions focus on a specific aspect of the week’s theme and involve hands-on investigations and activities. Afternoons are a little more relaxed. Campers can choose from a range of games and activities that might include building a bird feeder, playing Capture the Flag, creating debris shelters, or participating in our always popular shenana-ponding.
Our campers are split into groups by age: Explorers (6-8 years old), Pioneers (9-11 years old), and Navigators (12-14). Each group embarks on their separate journey to begin each day, and Explorers and Pioneers enjoy lunch and afternoon activities together. Our well-trained staff are always alert and present to make sure all interactions are age appropriate and that all children are having fun.
